A to Z of Must-Do Travel Experiences - Jun 2010

alt

Starting from 31 May 2010, we have been compiling a list of 26 must-do travel experiences starting from the letter ‘A’ all the way to the letter ‘Z’.

This list is made up of the kind of places that aren’t always easy to get to, but nevertheless worth visiting at least once in your lifetime. Some are of great historical interest, while some are nature’s amazing work of art, yet others are just fun activities that will make your life all the better for experiencing it.

Examples found within the list include the mega-monolith that is Ayers Rock, which is not only a spectacular product of nature, but one of great cultural significance to the Aboriginal people. Then there’s the Carnivale of Rio, which is an annual celebration to mark the season of lent. Over two weeks, the town literally comes to a standstill, and all the residents take to the streets to dance, sing and party.

At the Galapagos Islands, not only will you find an abundance of animals unique to the area, but it might also be your last chance to see one of the last Giant Pinta Island Tortoise. There are no known females of that species left in the world, which means the line may end at Lonesome George (right).

We will be releasing one new entry each day, and you can catch updates at both our blog and our facebook page.
