Customised Trips
We specialise in providing customised travel planning services. We work closely with clients to understand their needs and wants, and incorporate them into a highly personalised and unique itinerary.
Any desires for private flights, food and beverage experiences, religious tours, sports and motoring quests and more can be fulfilled here. Extensive research is undertaken to ensure maximum travel efficiency and viability within budgetary, seasonal, thematic and physical parameters.
A holiday with us includes a holiday itinerary, complete with a travel pack that gives you point to point instructions, an activity guide, shopping guide and dining guide, accommodation, and, depending on your itinerary, private guides, private transfers, rail passes, car rental, purchasing tickets for performances, restaurant reservations and more.The process of customised holiday planning can be summarised as follows:Step 1: We find out more about your specific requirements through a detailed consultation with our travel consultants.
Step 2: We design an itinerary based on your preferences
Step 3: Upon your confirmation to engage Quotient TravelPlanner, we will then send you a detailed day-to-day itinerary with a list of shortlisted options. No bookings have been made at this point.
Step 4: Upon confirmation of itinerary, we will complete all bookings and reservations and deliver your personalised travel pack, which includes a customised destination guide, daily itinerary suggestions and maps with all directions pertaining to your holiday.i) Will I be provided with actual hotel names in the initial quotation?No hotel names will be given until we receive a booking confirmation from the client. Reason being, there is usually a time lapse between the time clients make their first enquiry to the time of actual booking. To avoid promising potential clients hotels that may be unavailable later on, we will only give hotel names at the actual time of booking.Rest assured, however, that we will seek your approval for the final hotel selection.ii) How can I commit to a holiday with Quotient TravelPlanner, without knowing what hotels I’m paying for?You can refer here for a list of hotel examples that we use. All the hotels in our ‘Comfortable’ and ‘Indulgence’ ranges go through a stringent selection process; also as mentioned in Question a, you will have the final say for actual hotel selection.iii) Can you show me example of hotels in the different categories ‘Comfortable’ vs ‘Indulgence’?Click here.
iv) Are you able to provide me with a full day-to-day itinerary before I make a booking confirmation?
Unfortunately, customising holidays and coming up with an itinerary that adheres to the client’s requirements, while meeting logistical requirements, is a tedious process that requires much time and effort. Unless we receive a booking commitment from clients, we are unable to perform this service.v) If I make changes to your Ready-to-Go Holidays, will a premium be charged?This depends on how minor or major the change is. If, for example, the change is simply amending the number of nights at a particular location, or adding day tours to the itinerary, then the cost is nominal. However, if the change involves rerouting, then the holiday will become a customised request, which would then attract a certain premium.We believe that accommodations make up a vital part of your travel experience. As such, we have a pre-qualified list of hotels that fulfil minimum standards. When managing clients’ budgets, our consideration goes beyond simply swapping components. At the end of the day, we want to ensure that you get a pleasant holiday experience from us.vi) If I find the price of the holiday too high, can you make amendments to lower the overall cost?While we endeavour to fulfil all requests, we are mindful of not compromising on the overall quality of your holiday experience. Our itineraries are designed around your input and your expectations of a good holiday; wherever possible, we will provide you with alternative solutions or advise you accordingly of the feasibility of your plans.vii) Can you use ‘cheaper’ hotels to lower the cost of our holiday?
Ready-To-Go Holidays
Booking a holiday doesn’t get much easier than this. Start with browsing through our list of Ready-To-Go itineraries, which are filtered by location, duration, theme and budget.
After you have found the itinerary you want, customise the trip from the list of available options, enter in your travel dates and personal particulars, and proceed to make payment.
Here you will find free & easy holidays, pre-planned and ready to buy online immediately. Holidays bought here must be at least 3 weeks before departure. These are successful holidays previously experienced by clients or have been planned by us before-hand so you benefit from volume, hence a more affordable price. A number of customisation options are available with every trip for extensions and privately guided tours. Further customisation beyond these options is possible through Customised Trips.
These holidays come with a detailed itinerary, airport transfers, rail passes or car rental (if applicable), accommodation and an activity and dining guide.i) I like your itineraries, but don’t like some of the hotel selections. Can I request for specific hotels?
We have a pre-qualified list of accommodation for each city. For Ready-to-Go Itineraries, you can put up a request in the comment box to state which hotel you want to avoid. We will try our best to accommodate. Alternatively, you may engage our Customised Holiday Planning services.
ii) I have 6 persons travelling, and the website doesn’t allow me to select more than 5 travellers. What should I do?
Give us a call and we will facilitate your booking and advise you of any price changes (if any).
iii) I want to make changes to one of the Ready-To-Go Itineraries. How can I go about doing it?
First step is to look through the available itineraries. We have put up several itineraries, which are basically a variation of the same trip. From there, you can customise your trip with the available options on the right column.
Alternatively, you may wish to consider our Customised Trips.
iv) Why is there no price difference between adult and child?
Our Web Itineraries are priced based on the total number of persons, from 5-years and up. If your child is four-years-old and under, put a remark in the comments box, and one of our travel consultants will follow up on the case with a phone call to you.
v) I want to have 2 cars for my group of 5 people. How can I ensure this?
Please break up your booking into one group of 3 and one group of 2. Indicate in the comments box the name of the lead traveller for the other group, and we will make the necessary car arrangements, while continuing to schedule your holiday as one group.
b) Can I only engage you for your planning services? I will make all the travel bookings and reservations on my own. What is the charge then?
Unfortunately at this time, we do not provide planning services as a stand-alone service.
2. Accommodation
a) I am planning to use my time-share property / I am a member of a particular hotel chain, can I still engage your services?
We believe that accommodation selection makes up your total holiday experience. Do send us the list of properties you intend to use, and we will advise you of its suitability.
b) Can I book just my accommodation through Quotient TravelPlanner?
You can visit our accommodation booking portal, located in our Search Accommodation section for competitive hotel deals.
3. Pricing
a) I saw an advertisement in the papers for a group tour to Italy, it includes more meals and visits more places than your itinerary, and it costs less. Why is this so?
This is because our product is essentially different from what is being offered on the market. We allow you to customise your holiday plans, give you insider tips on the best restaurant and shopping places to visit, and take the time to find out what you are really looking for in a holiday?
In addition, all prices quoted are nett, and inclusive of all taxes and surcharges. We do not believe in advertising “from” prices, and later presenting you with a different final figure.
b) Can you provide me with a cost breakdown?
We do not provide a cost breakdown for our products. Our prices quoted are final and nett. The exception is with air ticket prices as some clients prefer to redeem their airline loyalty points or have already purchased their air tickets prior to contacting us.
4. Driving Itineraries
a) Are the fuel costs and toll charges included in the cost of the trip?
No, they have not been included. As it is a free and easy trip, it is up to you to decide on the distance you wish to cover. Driving routes with tolls charges will be advised in the Travel Pack.
b) Do I have to pay for parking charges in the cities I visit?
Yes, please budget for parking charges when you park along the streets or in public garages. Parking rates vary from city to city and between parking companies.
5. General a) How does Quotient TravelPlanner differ from other travel agencies? We promote and deal with independent travel. A holiday with us includes a holiday plan, complete with a travel pack that gives you point to point instructions, an activity guide, shopping guide and dining guide. In addition, we will also book your accommodation, transfers, rail passes, car rental and more, from a pre-qualified list. Basically, we provide you with the peace of mind, so that you can concentrate on enjoying your holiday. b) This is the first time I am travelling outside of a packaged group tour, is it safe? Included in your travel pack will be information and travel tips on your destination. It will help you avoid certain known risks, such as health and safety, as well as get yourself acquainted with local customs and rules. Directions and information in our itinerary will also help you in locating your destinations, and give you a better idea of what to expect. If you want an added level of security, we can arrange for a private travel guide to accompany you on your trip. c) Where do I catch my flight/train/bus? This information is located within your travel itinerary. Inside are detailed step-by-step instructions on how and where to catch your connections. d) Is it safe to go on a self-drive holiday, especially if it is the first time we visit the country? Recommended itineraries for road trips have been tried and tested. We will advise you on the feasibility of embarking on self-drive trips based on your individual comfort level. e) Are there a minimum number of travellers needed to embark on a holiday? As this is independent travel, there is no need for a minimum travel group size. There are however itineraries, which are more suited for couples, families, singles, solo travellers, etc. We will advise you accordingly. For itineraries in the Ready-To-Go Holidays, you can select the appropriate “Theme”. Alternatively, you can contact us and we will advise you accordingly. f) If I need to make changes while on holiday, who can I contact? Emergency contact information is available in your travel pack.
