Our guide and driver were absolutely a delight during the trip – Genuine care to my dad and aunt who are 80+ yrs old, flexible, accommodating, cool, kept us safe during our travels and friendly. They are well versed with the local area and fit our requirements of seeing and eating “local”.

We ate saga beef at a restaurant listed in the travel pack and the beef was melt-in-your-mouth good!!! We tried black pork from a Yatai in Kagoshima - who knew you can eat pork that\'s medium done?! And it melts in your mouth ... the experience was also memorable. YAKUSHIMA!!! Don\'t even know how to describe it to you... it is an amazing amazing island in its own right...

Despite my worries, my folks enjoyed the desert adventures and evening dinner and dance at the desert very much! I think that was the most memorable for all.
