The perennial question – Why do we travel? For some, it is a break from the routines of work and everyday life; for others, it’s a way to learn about new cultures; and yet for others, it’s just a way to get away from it all. theTravelPlanner team shares its photos in this section and invites you to send in your contributions. We currently feature 14 cities in this section and hope to cover the globe from our little portal. Help us reach our goal by sending us a picture of you on your adventures around the world and you might just find your entry posted up here.

Sweden

Sweden They seem a loud people if you’d guessed from their language. And really all anyone knows about their language is it comes in capital letter with lots of ‘A’s. IKEA, ABBA, SAAB and so on. But in reality the friendliest and most pleasant people on Earth, a mere 9 million people inhabit a country more than 700 times the size of Singapore and every inch fit for a postcard. This is the country that let’s you know what countryside really should look like, and that the farms you saw in children’s picture books are for real. This is the true meaning of civilisation.
