Travel Consultant / Senior Travel Consultant*
Job Description
Your job scope will include:

  • Liaising with potential holidaymakers in person, over the phone or via email to discuss their travel requirements
  • Advising clients on suitable options for domestic or international destinations, tours, accommodation, transport, insurance and fares
  • Designing, planning and customising itineraries to suit to the clients’ preferences
  • Researching destinations and keeping up to date with travel industry news
  • Meeting monthly sales target
  • Handling relevant administration
  • Ongoing training with other team members and management
  • Managing, supporting and building key client accounts*
  • Mentoring team members*

Job Requirements
You should:

  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and exude confidence when interacting with clients and strangers
  • Have a good command of spoken and written English (to liaise with potential holidaymakers)
  • Be resourceful, able to think on your feet and effective in problem-solving
  • Have extensive travel experience (please cite cities where you have previously travelled to) and have experience in planning holidays for yourself and others
  • Have the ability to effectively juggle multiple tasks
  • Have good telephone and email etiquette
  • Be IT-savvy
  • Possess prior experience in mentoring a performance-based team*
  • Have at least 2 years of sales or frontline service*

Knowledge of GDS systems will be appreciated. Relevant experience in the travel and hospitality sectors will be to your advantage.

Travel Specialist
Job Description
Your job scope will include:

  • Compiling travel documentation and destination information for clients
  • Facilitating bookings and reservations for travel related matters and activities
  • Handling the company’s emergency phone line
  • Researching on travel destinations and keeping up to date with travel industry’s news
  • Assisting Senior Travel Consultants with relevant travel planning administration

Job Requirements
You should:

  • Have at least a diploma in any general discipline
  • Have at least 1 year of work experience
  • Be able to project a positive attitude, comfort and confidence to suppliers and team members
  • Be meticulous
  • Be fluent in both spoken and written English (to liaise with vendors)
  • Be resourceful, able to think on your feet and effective in handling emergency situations
  • Be capable of multi-tasking and be an enthusiastic team player who learns fast in an upbeat energetic work environment
  • Have excellent telephone and email etiquette
  • Be IT-savvy

Knowledge of GDS systems will be appreciated.
