TAILORS OF HOLIDAYS
There is nothing quite like dressing in bespoke. The comfort that comes from a perfect fit and the quiet confidence you gain from knowing that there is nobody in the room better dressed. At Quotient TravelPlanner, we think of ourselves as tailors of holidays – patterns are like your holiday theme, buttons represent the pace of your trip, while flowing or racy hemlines reflect the style and sensuality of your vacation.
As with a tailor, the process starts with a detailed consultation with one of our travel consultants. Each possesses specific knowledge on different parts of the world and various styles of travel. Collectively, we cover most of the world from luxury travel to adventure travel. In creating bespoke itineraries, consultants work together to come up with ideas and perspectives that will appeal to the particular client. This could be through creating convenience for specific needs clients such as vegans and elderly travellers, or simply creating a wow factor.
GETTING TO KNOW YOU
The consultation will yield information such as countries you have covered or would like to visit again in greater depth, interests and dislikes perhaps a fascination with Mahler or a distaste in Miro, gourmet food of any kind or absolutely no history lessons about this or that castle, temperature preferences, whether you prefer staying in vast neo-classical palace hotels or funky boutiques, dietary or mobility requirements, special skills such as shooting, riding or skiing.
EXPERT TRAVEL ADVICE
We make suggestions to create a seamless holiday. If there are political problems brewing in Naples, we advise you stay north of Rome instead. If you prefer to shop than sightsee in Paris, we help you prioritise your time and destinations. If you like the idea of safari, but think South Africa is too clichéd, we can suggest alternative luxurious and safe safaris. And if you would like a truly exclusive experience, we will be happy to suggest it and arrange it. Whether it is filming your own music video in the Beijing Summer Palace, sailing with friends on a superyacht to the Billionaire Club, we will be happy to oblige.
MANAGING YOUR EXPECTATIONS AND BUDGETS
Our clients range from primary school teachers on a honeymoon to industrialists on a family sabbatical, with all of our tailor-made holidays benefitting from equal attention. We discover your expectations for your custom holiday while managing your budget to fully maximise your money.. Expect personalised attention for everything from transport to guides, waking up late is always an option and there is no waiting around for others to turn up. Our Travel Pack, issued to every travelling group, features dining guides with average prices indicated so that you can manage your spending as well.
USING YOUR FREQUENT FLYER OR HOTEL MEMBERSHIPS
We also add travel components to what you already have. You may have a frequent flier programme that we can route your flights to suit, a villa in Tuscany that we can include as part of a holiday, a timeshare or corporate hotel discount anywhere in the world, or an extension to a business trip. We can fly the rest of your family to join you and ensure that a reliable and safe chauffeur brings them to your door.
FULL RANGE OF TRAVEL SERVICES
Just as in a good suit, there are invisible elements between the layers to create the perfect fit. Because we are a bespoke travel agency, we will route your flights to suit your frequent flier programme or land you at the location closest to your destination which may not be in the same country. We manage this with the range of cars and train lines available to the airport, cost effective flights, and transport links out of the airport which are not jammed. If your family doesn’t travel light, we select estate cars or 4x4s which we know have the luggage capacity to cope with the loads. Hotels are chosen for their value for money, design suitability to your liking, attention to maintenance, proximity to transport links, attractions and amenities, parking availability, air conditioning and even the quality of breakfast.
EVERY HOLIDAY IS DIFFERENT, DESIGNED TO SUIT YOUR STYLE
Your personalised holiday is planned to maximise the sights and experiences you want, in the style you want. This usually means that every holiday we have ever customised has been different. We take on a educating role to introduce new ideas and lifestyles to our travellers at every opportunity, but we try to be sensitive about limits. We won’t send vegans to a pig farm producing the finest corn fed pork, but we do try to convince French wine devotees to try a Barolo, and dyed-in-the-rayon metropolites to try a taste of luxury country life for a day or two. The possibilities for your tailor-made holiday are only limited by your imagination!
... AND EVERYTHING IS BOOKED FOR YOUR TRIP!
To tailor-make your next holiday, simply speak to any of our travel consultants at +65 6435 0922, alternatively you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We’ll be more than happy to answer any queries you might have.

Witness one of the most gorgeous sunrises you may ever lay eyes on at Haleakala National Park.We already know that our world is full of stunning spots for us to see and discover. But as places grow more and more popular, it can be a struggle for you to fully enjoy your visits with the sheer amount of people you have to constantly jostle with. The increasing human traffic to these hotspots has also caused environmental damage, which has compromised the beauty of countless destinations.See also Quotient’s Top Destinations for Your 2018 Travels 5 Fairy-tale Places in Europe to Enthrall You New 2018 Attractions We Can’t Wait to VisitIn an effort to preserve their authenticity, several of the most-visited natural sites worldwide now have restrictions on their daily visitor numbers. Quotient has compiled five of the most noteworthy ones in the list below to aid you in making your preparations well in advance if you're keen on dropping by any of these places!Skradinski buk, Croatia The picture-perfect scene of three waterfalls cascading over the edge to pool into a turquoise blue lake beneath is one of the country's most recognisable sights. Dubbed the Skradinski buk, this section of the Krka National Park is a popular spot to take a dip at or to simply relax while gazing at the beautiful waterfalls surrounded by the lush forest. In 2017, the Croatian government decreed that a maximum of 10,000 guests will be allowed to visit the Skradinski buk at any one time -- to put things into perspective, millions of people flock here every year. If you happen to arrive after the capacity has been met, you'll have to wait for people to depart. Thankfully, the park itself offers plenty of attractions; visit one of its several other waterfalls or go on a leisurely hike around a scenic trail. Haleakala sunrise, United States You might have specifically woken up early to catch a particularly stunning sunrise several times in your life, but have you ever expected a sunrise to be so attractive that reservations are required for you to secure a choice viewing spot? It's not difficult to see why the crowds flock to this particular vantage point in Maui each morning; the golden sun shooting its rays across distant mountain ranges that are surrounded by a sea of wispy clouds is a spectacular view to remember. During the sunrise hours, only 150 vehicles are permitted to enter Haleakala National Park's parking space. Although hikers do not face restricted entry, the path can be tricky to navigate in the dark and going on foot is thus discouraged. Ecuador Wildlife lovers will already have the Galapagos Islands on their radar. Known as a destination with one of the most abundant flora and fauna in the world, travellers venture here to seek out giant tortoises, sea lions and marine iguanas, and they often leave with their wishes fulfilled. The landscape itself is also impressive -- think crystal-clear blue waters, arching peaks and pristine white beaches. Visitor numbers are controlled with several rules, which include being allowed to stay for a maximum of five days each, the need to be accompanied by an authorised guide during the duration of your travel, and a maximum of 100 passengers on each boat.

Think vast lakes set against tremendous mountain ranges, swooping valleys and massive waterfalls, and verdant greenery and wildlife. On this incredible road trip along the Route of Parks, you'll cover a total of 17 national parks from the northern Pumalin National Park to the southern Yendegaia National Park. Hike to mirrored lakes reflecting lofty snow-capped mountains and volcanoes, venture into ancient forests and landscapes teeming with animals such as pumas and tapirs, and enjoy the dramatic views from lookout points. In spring, the weather is cold but the winds are also less harsh, which makes hiking easier. You'll also likely be one of the first to embark on the trails ahead of the summer crowds, which means you get to keep the abundant beauty of the landscapes all to yourself. If you so wish, you can also snuggle up to each other in one of the several campgrounds.Hardanger, Norway One of the best ways to fully enjoy the spectacular fjords of Norway is on a road trip. In spring, the whitewashed landscape begins to shed its snow, allowing the greenery and blooming plants to peek through. Journey around the peaceful lakes and towering cliffs, and watch as flower buds begin to emerge from the ground.Treat your eyes to scenic sights such as thunderous waterfalls, flowering fruit orchards and the actual Hardangerfjord on this route. You may also encounter cherry blossoms in the region if you're lucky enough! Besides completing picturesque hikes together around mountains and the canyon, seize the opportunity to walk across a magnificent glacier as well. During spring, dishes incorporating lamb and fresh fish are usually enjoyed along with the first harvest of fruits and vegetables such as apples, cherries and potatoes.Hokkaido, Japan For a spring road trip with a winter element, venture to the vast and beautiful lands of Hokkaido. This season, flowers erupt in full bloom and the fields begin to brim with fresh produce but time your trip well and you'll still be able to catch the tail-end of the ski season!Along the route from Sapporo to Monbetsu, you'll get to surround yourselves with hundreds of blooms including delicate cherry blossoms, brightly-coloured tulips and elegant lilacs; flower festivals are also aplenty this season so get yourselves in a celebratory mood! For a unique experience, seek out the vibrant pink moss known as Shibazakura and try spotting a flower with seven petals as it's rumoured to bring you luck. Certain resorts in the premier skiing destination also operate until early May, perfect for you to experience spring skiing, where you get to indulge in winter fun under warmer conditions. Don't forget the food -- Hokkaido is one of Japan's top gourmet havens -- snow crabs are rumoured to be especially delicious this season with extra roe and vegetables such as asparagus are particularly popular. Western Cape, South Africa South Africa enjoys lovely weather during spring. It's typically relatively dry, which means you get to avoid the rain showers, and temperatures tend to hover around 20 degrees Celsius. Besides the unique indigenous fynbos flowers and wildflowers, the season is also perfect for whale watching.Dubbed the Garden Route, the drive from Tsitsikamma Forest to Mossel Bay is known for being one of the most picturesque in the world. Traverse mountain passes and roads crowded with multi-coloured flowers of multiple varieties, and alongside the sea as you make your way from point to point. The wildlife enthusiast will enjoy trekking forests in search of birds including kingfishers, going on a whale watching cruise and visiting an ostrich farm. You can also indulge in water sports and cave exploration, or just relax on the beach and visit wineries for a refreshing tipple. No matter your preference, the Garden Route offers something for everyone.Western Holland, Netherlands One of the Netherlands' biggest claims to fame is the famous Keukenhof Garden, which mesmerises with its acres of vibrant tulips each spring. While a stop by Keukenhof is indeed unmissable, other gardens also possess their own alluring charms and should not be overlooked. As you make your way from Haarlem to Naaldwijk on the Flower Route, stroll hand in hand alongside cheery daffodils, fragrant hyacinths and regal lilies amongst other varieties of flowers before delving into the tulip extravaganza at Keukenhof. Equally worth a visit are the galleries lined with beautiful paintings and historic museums that offer you insight into the local culture. It's also fruit galore in the Netherlands during springtime; pick your own apples, cherries, strawberries and pears and make a picnic out of it. This is also the season for cheese markets; the Dutch are renowned for being some of the world's best cheesemakers so you'll definitely want to pick some delectable wheels up.

Looking over Lake Tegernsee from up high.Munich, Neuschwanstein Castle, Oktoberfest and beer -- these are the things the region of Bavaria is most famous for. And I, for one, had never really thought to dig deeper into what else the destination has to offer. So when I found myself exploring Bavaria, I didn't quite know what to expect.See also 15 Photos that Prove Patagonia is Special Botswana, You Had Me at Hello The Intoxicating Heart of South Africa’s Route 62Thankfully, I was in for a pleasant surprise. From going on a unique behind-the-scenes tour where I watched a master craftsman at work to taking in scenic sights atop a mountain and, not to forget, feasting on yummy food, these hidden gems of Bavaria thoroughly impressed me. Follow me as I recap the highlights of my journey!Off to a delish start. I love it when the guides show us their favourite local eateries -- this quaint little one was hidden amongst some fashion boutiques, and produces all their freshly baked goods with flour from their own mill next door.
Our guide jokingly claimed that Indian summers were not exclusive to the Northern Hemisphere. We had the privilege to catch the end of the dry spell and enjoyed beautiful blue skies and perfect weather at Marienplatz before the drizzles came.
This was one of the best desserts I had on the trip, the Kaiserschmarrn. There is an interesting story behind its name: the dessert was originally declared “nonsensical” (Schmarrn) by the Austrian Emperor (Kaiser), Franz Joseph I. My favourite version is the one that consists of a light, fluffy pancake made from sweet batter baked in butter, which is then fried, sprinkled with powdered sugar and served warm with applesauce.Went on an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour at the Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory, whose handmade pieces have been renowned for its quality since the 18th century. The brainchild of the Wittelsbach royal family, Nymphenburg is one of the rare few that still creates its own porcelain paste, paints and colours. We had the opportunity to speak to artisans who are all masters of their craft. Here is a master showing the ropes to his young apprentice (not pictured). We continued on to a quiet little village near the Lake Tegernsee area. They have two papermaking machines here that have been in operation since 1886 and 1979 respectively. As the saying goes, old is gold! It was an eye-opening experience that reminded me of the expertise, dedication and innovation that goes behind something most of us take for granted -- paper. Again, we were treated to a behind-the-scenes tour. We got to see the entire process from the moment the paper pulp is fed into the system to special textualising and cutting before each sheet is checked individually by hand. The scientist in me got excited when I saw the amount of “science” that goes into the process, from laboratory setups to tensile and burn tests used to determine the purity and quality of the paper produced. The giant reams of paper were half as tall as I am!After all the mental stimulation and excellent learning opportunities, we rounded up the trip with a funicular ride up to Mount Wallberg whilst enjoying an aerial view of Lake Tegernsee. We were lucky to have visited on a clear day and could see as far as Zugspitze, Germany’s highest peak.Of course, a trip to the Lake Tegernsee area wouldn’t be complete without a relaxing cruise on the lake itself. One can even enjoy wellness facilities such as iodine sulphur springs and saunas here! It is obvious that Bavaria has lots to offer beyond beer :D
- Estonia still remains an unchartered territory for most globetrotters. The country's proximity to Finland makes it ideal for a short stop during a Northern Lights holiday, but those who invest more time in the Baltic nation also quickly realise it is worthwhile doing so.See also Estonia in One Voice 5 Eye-opening Experiences to Appreciate in Underrated Uzbekistan 5 Key Experiences in the Czech Republic That Will Charm YouIt comes as no surprise that Estonia's most popular site is its capital, Tallinn. But go beyond the shores of Tallinn and you will discover a lesser-known side of Estonia -- you just need to take the plunge!
