About Belgium

With a moniker such as the Chocolate Capital of the World, Belgium already sounds like a wonderland. But if you need more convincing, just recall another popular dessert, Belgium waffles, and your sweet tooth will have you raring to visit the country. Of course, there are also plenty of experiences to delight other gourmets from having a meal at the world’s first scuba restaurant to trying inventive street snacks at one of Europe’s top food truck festivals to savouring piping hot frites on the streets.

Besides living it up with all the delicious grub, Belgium’s charming medieval towns also have a way of winning you over. Go on a private tour to learn all about Brussels’ culture and stop by the magnificent Grand Place, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the Flower Carpet is laid out biennially; take a relaxing ride down Bruges’ beautiful canals and visit its fascinating breweries; and explore the 12th-century castle Gravensteen at Ghent. If you’re in the mood for some luxury shopping, pop by Antwerp, the diamond capital of the world, to pick up some sparkling jewels!

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip, and my dad's wondering if you could help us plan NZ for 2015!Wrightia & Family – February 2015
