Destination of Choice: Paris, Antibes, Nice, Monaco, Milan, Barcelona

We’re back! Just wanted to say thanks for helping with the planning of the trip.

Overall, we enjoyed ourselves, particularly Spain :) The museums and cathedrals in Paris were devastatingly beautiful though cost of living is beastly expensive.

Southern France was a good break from the city. We were at Antibes, Nice and Monaco and we thoroughly enjoyed the feel of quaint small towns. Monaco was a land of sunshine, rich people and flashy cars. It was fun to sit out at the cafe, next to the casino, and people watch. In the south, people were generally warm and friendly. The weather was gorgeous and food was great! Milan was good for shopping, pity we didn’t see George Clooney at Lake Como ;)

Barcelona was our absolute favourite. It has culture, heritage, art (Gaudi is a genius), shopping… and oh the FOOD!!!! We visited Hofmann and must tell you how much we enjoyed our meal :) The food and was truly excellent.

We had tapas almost every day though our favourite tapas place, if we could recommend, is Inopia. Despite a 40 min wait outside the restaurant (really, more like a bar with bouncer at the door), it was worth it. The simplicity and ingenuity of the food left us truly satiated.

It has been almost a week since we returned and it’s now back to the grind. Though secretly, I have remote thoughts about going to Europe again ;) Spain is a must and there are all these other places we would like to visit.
