Destination of Choice: South Africa; Kruger National Park, Johannesburg, Livingstone, Cape Town

Thanks for a well planned trip!  The pace of the trip was good so we don’t feel rushed at all. The transfers and the guides at Jo’burg and Cape Town were punctual at all times.

The camp at Kruger was a great place to stay in for the safari. The lodge manager, ranger and all other service staff are wonderful people.  Meals were fantastic! Despite the rain in-between for 3 days, we saw all big 5 finally throughout the six game drives. The ranger and his assistant were happy and felt their job well accomplished.

The warm colours and earthly architecture of Zambezi Sun Hotel made one felt welcome the moment we stepped in.  It was a good two nights stay at the hotel but food at the main restaurant for breakfast and dinner was just average. We did the island tour from Royal Livingston in the morning. It was AWESOME as we were standing at the edge of the Falls! The guide took some good pictures for us but we did not prepare to swim as we have to barefoot to walk to that area. A good breakfast followed after the tour.

In Cape Town, our guide, David was so nice to send us to the Table Mountain at the end of Cape Peninsula tour. It was just 5 mins before ticket sales closing time (5pm) and the last cable car to descend at 6pm.  He made sure we got our tickets before leaving us.

Overall, the whole trip was relaxed and enjoyable. The guide booklets were excellent, gave us a lot of information and dining recommendations as well as ideas when we have sufficient time to manage on our own.

Once again, Thank you!

Best regards,
Susan
